THE LOCK

Boston Celtics v Houston Rockets OVER 223.5 Total Points

@ $1.90 (Sportsbet)

16 units

You look at a game like Boston v Houston and all you can think is points. The Celtics enter this one looking to get back to winning ways after stumbling against the Nets. All-Star Jaylen Brown had an absolute stinker from the field shooting a miserable 5/23 to finish on 13pts. A bounce back for him individually is definitely on the cards, don’t be surprised to see Brown drop 30pts to lead the Celtics. Houston will welcome back Oladipo into the starting line-up alongside Kevin Porter Jr to provide the scoring punch necessary to match Boston. The Rockets might have a let off defensively and we certainly won’t be mad if that happens. Give us the over!

We are taking advantage of the dire situation with the Raptors again! If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. The Bulls have struggled as of late and word is that Thad Young & Satoransky will start the game. This doesn’t change anything for us, Toronto on the second night of a road back to back is not good for them. Take LaVine and the boys to get this one done – comfortably.

Portland face off against the T-Wolves again, they really should’ve covered today as well if not for some last second layups as Minny were forced into the foul game. You go down the list and the Blazers just have way too many options Melo, Gary Trent, Covington, Kanter. Minnesota will need to play out of their skins to be able to keep this game close for a second night in a row. Dame will take care of business and get this leg done for us.

The Jazz-Warriors game looks like a points fest from the outset. We’re looking at two teams that shoot a lot of threes, and two teams that like to get out and run with it. Steph, Donovan, Bojan, Clarkson and the gang should turn this one into a good old-fashioned Western shoot out as a result. They’re both coming off less than perfect performances, too. Chef curry was pissed off with the Dubs last start L, whilst the Jazz beat the short-handed Rockets, but made it look a lot harder than it should’ve been. With games like these, we always have the motto in our morning meeting: ‘one of these quarters will have 70+ points,’ and this almost always happens. It means we get a nice buffer, and it makes the overs look a really solid bet.

We are milking this depleted Raptors team for all it’s worth. Even the players they have available aren’t in the best shape with both Kyle Lowry & Chris Boucher banged up with some facial injuries. We expect both to play but they certainly won’t be fresh. Chicago need to get back on track, their 2 games back from the break have both been losses. The first was to the Sixers by 20 (without Simmons & Embiid) and the other by 11 to Miami (without Bam). We expect the Bulls to make a statement at home today, winning by at least 20pts.
