THE LOCK
Houston Rockets v Minnesota Timberwolves

This is a true battle of the bad teams as MIN sit last and HOU second last in the West. They are both in the bottom half of the league for points scored per game with neither cracking 110. The T-Wolves haven’t scored more than 108 in their past 4 contests and Houston hasn’t scored more than 108 in 8 out of their last 10. All the offensive statistics for both these teams are horrendous. I’ll give you two more to round things out, both are bottom 3 in the league for FG%, shooting less than 44.5% per match and both are bottom 5 in the league for 3PT %, shooting less than 35% from deep. It’s all just really ugly. They played against each other yesterday and it was a brick fest as the total finished at 208. Even if both teams shoot the ball a little better than yesterday, this game won’t get above 220.
THE MID-RANGER
Tyrese Haliburton to score 20+
@ 4.20 (Sportsbet)

This new look Kings line-up has given them a great boost as of late, winning their past 5 out of 6. Haliburton is finally starting and boy has he fit in nicely. He’s averaging 22 points over his past 3 games. These odds are too enticing to pass on. Sacramento played Cleveland a week ago and the rookie had 28 points in that contest. The Cavs are 3rd worst in the league for defending the 3pt, as teams shoot 38.5% against them. This should give Tyrese a chance to rack up some easy points from the perimeter. Star point guard De’Aaron Fox is on an absolute tear at the moment, so with all the attention on him it should help create plenty of scoring opportunities for others. We expect Haliburton to be in well in play for the 20 points and to continue his good run of scoring.
THE SPECULATOR
Seth Curry 20+ points

Seth has really benefited from the team running everything through Tobias. He’s had plenty of open looks and really punished defenders for giving him an inch of space. Today is a meaningful game for the Sixers with Doc Rivers returning to face the team that let him go in the offseason. Seth is Doc’s son in law – so expect him to take this game personally on Rivers behalf. There is also some history between Curry & Paul George, you can do your own research on that, but it involves women. So, there are plenty of reasons for Seth to be motivated. He’s averaging 17.5 points over his last 4 games so it’s quite likely he can hit the 20-point mark.
