We can’t just let this morning’s lock pass in the wind. Sometimes things happen that just totally belie any level of analysis you can do. Houston v OKC was a prime example of that. The Thunder shot worse from the field and turned the ball over more than the Rockets but they pulled in 19 offensive rebounds (compared to HOU who had 8). The effort level from Houston (for a team on a 19-game losing streak) was beyond embarrassing. We back ourselves hard to overcome any slump and that’s why we have a second lock for the day.
Toronto Raptors -6.5 (alt line)
@ $1.80 (Sportsbet)
This pick is also the first leg of our multi (but at -7.5), so if you missed the analysis for why we like the Toronto, see below:
The Raptors are finally back to full health with Siakam, Anunoby & VanVleet all back from COVID absences. Toronto have struggled to say the least during this period without those 3 guys. A matchup against the Cavs is perfect timing. Cleveland are in a weird situation having a mix of guys who are the future of the organisation and some that will be traded at the deadline. Remember who Andre Drummond is? We feel this game has a huge Toronto win written all over it. The 7.5 feels way too short, expect the Raptors to win by 15+ points.
