What a crazy morning of deals, and odds are moving like wild fire with many teams being short-handed today. Please note we don’t have a speculator due to nothing standing out.

Portland & Miami will be short on players today as they both made trades before the deadline. To inflict further pain, the Heat will be without Jimmy. He is crucial for the team, not only as the leader but the defensive intensity starts with him. We saw how poor Miami started the season when Butler was out with COVID issues. The Blazers are coming off an embarrassing home loss to the Mavericks, losing by 40 points. It was a complete blowout. If we know anything about Lillard, it’s that he responds. The MVP race is wide open with LeBron and Embiid injured, so expect Dame to ball out and lead his team to an important road victory.

These two teams played just two days ago in the Garden and it was a points fest. The total was 243 with the Knicks hitting 16 threes on 53% shooting, they finished on 131 points, winning by 20. Incredible. They average 105 a game, making 11 threes on 37% shooting for the season. There is just no way lightning strikes twice and they shoot this well again (especially with Reggie Bullock not playing). It’s very difficult for a team to win both games in the mini-series. Expect Washington to respond in a major way, while they aren’t the best defensive team in the league, they’ll certainly give better effort on that side of the ball. This is the final matchup between WAS & NYK in the regular season with NY getting the first two. It’s a must win for the Wizards.
