“I’ve been lifting pretty much every day except for the day when I traveled. I was lifting this morning with my coach. I’m not too tired.”

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich also confirmed the 19-year-old will take part.

“We’re talking about what he should be doing moving forward,” Popovich said. “He will participate in the Summer League. To what degree, we’re not sure yet.”

If Wemby does make an appearance, the NBA have planned for it as the San Antonio-Charlotte game from that day will televised on ESPN in the evening.

Another intriguing game between Portland and Houston, which will potentially include number three pick Scoot Henderson and number four pick Amen Thompson, will also be on ESPN the same night.
