Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle sealed a dramatic overtime win, and didn’t hold back after the final buzzer.

Randle knocked down the game-winning shot with 8.8 seconds remaining to lift Minnesota past the Houston Rockets, 110–108, in a wild contest at Target Center. The moment capped off a gritty performance from a Timberwolves side that had to dig deep late, especially after a controversial sequence in overtime.

The turning point came when teammate Naz Reid was ejected with just over four minutes left in the extra period following a call from referee Scott Foster. At the time, Minnesota was trailing by five, making the comeback even more impressive.

Randle’s late-game heroics ultimately flipped the result, but his emotions spilled over immediately after.

“Julius Randle just now walking down the hallway to the locker room: ‘That s*** didn’t work Scott Foster,’” wrote SB Nation’s Ryan Eichten on X.

Despite the frustration, Randle kept his postgame interview focused on the team’s resilience and ability to execute under pressure.

“We’re built for the moment. As simple as that,” Randle said.

“It feels good. We took care of business, especially at home,” Randle said. “We got one more matchup against this team, so it’s important for us to get this one. Down the stretch, for us to show the resilience we showed, I’m super proud of our team. Everybody stepped up and made big plays at different points of the game.”

Randle finished with 24 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals, leading a balanced Minnesota effort. Jaden McDaniels added 25 points, while Rudy Gobert controlled the paint with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

The win pushed Minnesota to 45–28 on the season, keeping momentum alive despite the absence of Anthony Edwards, who remains sidelined with a knee injury.
