Oscar Robertson Completely Rips Draymond Green For Calling NBA Boring

NBA legend Oscar Robertson was not happy about Draymond Green’s comments where he labelled the league’s product ‘boring’ and has hit back.

In case you missed it, here is what Green said over All-Star weekend:

“Every possession is some type of chess move,” The Warriors forward told The Associated Press. “You don’t get that today in the NBA, often. … You don’t just get that on a regular basis. It’s just who can run faster, who can hit more 3s, it’s no substance. I think it’s very boring.”

86-year-old Robertson fired back at these comments and even suggested that it’s Green’s own fault today’s product is ‘boring’.

“Draymond says so much. Who cares what Draymond says?” Robertson said during a SiriusXM NBA Radio interview. “The game is what it is. People either like the game or they don’t. And I think people enjoy the game, especially if their team can win.

“Not to single that out because I think he knows how to play basketball. But he’s passing the ball to Curry more than anyone I’ve ever seen in basketball. It might be boring to him at times because of what he’s doing, Maybe it is boring when he’s out there. He’s not shooting a lot, and he’s not guarding a lot. So it’s boring.”

They weren’t the only comments of Green’s that raised eyebrows during All-Star celebrations in San Francisco, since he also had a lot to say about to Rising Stars participation alongside the All-Stars.

Green heavily criticized the inclusion of players from the Rising Stars Challenge and claimed that they “didn’t deserve” to play in All-Star Sunday.
