LeBron James Hints at Potential Career Path After Basketball

LeBron James has hinted at where he might land after he finishes his storied basketball career.

Which at the rate he’s going, may be a little ways down the road yet.

The NBA GOAT was asked about whether he would consider a career in broadcasting when his playing time is up.

“I don’t know,” James said on Gojo and Golic. “I definitely love the sport. I love basketball. I love football. And I watch it – not only as a fan – but also just breaking down matchups and things of that nature. And I was brought into sports. When you grow up in Northeast Ohio, listen, you grow up in sports.

“So, it would be great. I see Tom Brady doing it. He’s been great so far. We will see, even if it’s just a guest appearance – one game or two when I’m done playing. But it’s always fun to give back to the game. The game has given me so much so if it’s basketball, if it’s football, if it’s whatever, I love the word sport because it’s given so much to me and my family. And it’s only right that I give back to it.”

James has experience in the broadcasting space, since he started a podcast with JJ Redick last season, called Mind the Game.

Fans loved this unfiltered version of LeBron as he would drink red wine on the podcast and speak honestly about basketball analytics.

The show amassed millions of views, despite there being less than 50 videos published to YouTube.

NBA television broadcasters such as ESPN would be smart to give LeBron a contract, as fans would tune in just to hear what he has to say. Though it’s doubtful ESPN would let James crack open a bottle of Shiraz live on air.
