Draymond Green Blasts Referees Over ‘Crazy’ Treatment

Green Referees

Following the Warriors’ 134-120 win over the Lakers, Draymond Green wasn’t at all happy with the referees treatment of him.

Green was made an honorary ‘Splash Cousin’ in the victory, since he shot 71.4 percent from three.

But after the game, he was more focused on what he thought was a terrible missed foul call in the third quarter.

Green jumped up to contest an Austin Reaves layup and fell back down to the ground after Reaves swung his elbow towards his face while making the layup.

Draymond definitely thought it was a super obvious missed call and could be seen animatedly talking to the refs about it afterwards.

He had more to say on the incident in his postgame press conference.

“Steph was standing there, which was great because he heard how the referee talked to me, and he went immediately from talking to me to like, ‘Yo, you can’t talk to [Green] like that,’ Green explained, via Anthony Slater. “I think that’s the wackiest part about it. You can speak to me however you feel, but if I say something back, that’s a tech. That’s wack to me. You miss a call, a guy clubs me across the face, and then you’re like, ‘I don’t wanna talk to you! Get outta my face!’ Like, who are you? You missed a call. You can’t get mad because you missed a call.”

The four-time Warriors champion went on to explain how he thinks that NBA officials have a double standard when it comes to him.

“I get in the face every single day, and I don’t get no foul called,” Green said. I hit somebody in the face, I get thrown under the jail. But when I get hit in the face, they don’t see it. I get hit in the face every single night. I’m not sure what time it’s been called… but I put my breath on somebody, and they’ll review it for a flagrant foul.”
