Klay Thompson Reveals True Thoughts on Draymond Green’s Ejections

Draymond Green has the second-most ejections throughout his career in NBA history and his longtime teammate Klay Thompson gave his honest thoughts on it.

Klay was on Green’s podcast and Draymond asked him straight up for his opinion and he gave a super heartfelt answer.

“When you’re not out there, it’s like a piece of us is gone. We can never be ourselves and have the freedom we do on the court without you. So, I know the other team is very happy you’re not out there. They can… they relax a little bit,” Thompson said.

“They let their hair down because our muscle’s gone, our enforcer, the guy – the heartbeat of our team is not out there. We’ve been through so many battles, reached the mountaintop, been down the mountain, had to climb back up, and now we have another real shot at this. So, at the end of the day, we just need you.

“And that, like, disappointment and feeling of shaking your head, it just comes from like, ”dang, man, we can’t do this without you.” And we’re not the Warriors without Money Green. That’s just a fact.”

Green has been ejected four times in total this season, with his latest coming less than four minutes into the Warriors’ 101-93 win against the Magic last month.

It was obviously how deeply Green’s behavior affects the team, since Steph Curry could be seen fighting back tears after Green was ejected.

Some of Green’s ejections this season were the most hectic, as he put Rudy Gobert in a headlock and struck Jusuf Nurkic across the face.

After the Nurkic incident, Green had to undergo mandatory counselling set by the league.

Since then, the forward has only been ejected the one time, but has had a few questionable incidents on the court.
