Inside James Harden’s Salty Reaction to 76ers Loss

76ers Harden

James Harden faced off against the 76ers for the first time since being traded and things didn’t go his way at all.

The former 76er putting up 12 points and 14 assists on 5-13 shooting from the floor, but went 0-6 from three.

The Clippers didn’t look like they had a hold on the game at any point and went down 121-107.

The Beard wasn’t willing to stick around long after the loss and threw a tantrum of sorts by bailing early.

“James Harden left the Clippers locker room before Ty Lue even began his postgame press conference, when locker room wasn’t yet open to media,” Sixers beat writer Gina Mizell reported.

Harden’s former Rockets teammate Chandler Parsons said it was the wrong thing for Harden to do.

“It’s such a bad look,” Parsons said on Run It Back. “It’s no story if you just talk and you own up to it and say you had an off night.”

LAC head coach Ty Lue wasn’t at all impressed with his team’s efforts.

“They’re grown men,” Lue said. “They understand, It’s not like we’re playing with second or third year players. I’m never the type of guy who wants to show a player up or show them that they’re making a mistake. I’d rather not do that,. that’s a story for you guys. They understand what the f***…They understand what they’re supposed to be doing. We just gotta do better all around the board.”

Harden won’t have to wait long to try and redeem himself, since the Clippers play the 76ers in Philly on Wednesday.

No doubt Harden will be met with a far more hostile reception than he did on his home court on Sunday.

Philly head coach Nick Nurse says his departure is water under the bridge in his mind.

“It seems like it’s been a long time—I don’t know if anybody is even mad anymore,” Sixers head coach Nick Nurse joked after Sunday’s win, via The Athletic.
