Most of the NBA world knows about Michael Jordan’s son dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, but now the pair want to get married.
Marcus Jordan sent the internet into a spin when he said he would want his dad to be his best man at him and Larsa’s wedding, which is “in the works”.
“I was the best man at [my dad’s] wedding, and I was the best man at my brother’s wedding,” Marcus said on Pablo Torre Finds Out. “Obviously, we’ll keep that tradition going, is my thoughts on it.”
Marcus also provided some context into how his dad has handled the relationship.
“The main thing from my dad was, ‘You’re a grown adult,’” Marcus said. “Ultimately as long as I’m happy, he’s happy. He’s never intervened in my dating life prior to Larsa, and he’s not going to start now.”
The optics around Larsa and Marcus’ relationship are quite unique, given that MJ played with Scottie Pippen on the Bulls.
MJ and Scottie now have beef going on, which definitely adds to the soon-to-be family dynamic.
There is also a 16-year age gap between Marcus and Larsa and the are aware how strange their relationship looks to the outside world.
“Aesthetically it probably doesn’t look good,” Pippen said on Pablo Torre Finds Out. “Just to hear of it, it doesn’t resonate well with people.”
In the same interview, Larsa declined to talk about whether she’s “been around Michael” since her and Marcus have been dating.
“I feel like I don’t really wanna talk about Marcus, Michael or my ex,” she said. “I feel like we are really comfortable talking about us. I feel like our families just want us to be happy… No one’s really affected by our relationship to be honest with you.”
There will be some all-time pictures taken at the wedding.
Could even be a good time for Scottie and MJ to make up.
