Disgruntled superstar James Harden has ‘turned his attention’ to the Brooklyn Nets, after turning down the opportunity to become the first ever $50 million / year player in NBA history.
It’s reading more like a television drama series than a sporting free agency period right now, as Brooklyn look to try and secure the services of Harden. If they were able to do so – they would form one of the most needle moving big threes in league history, with stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant already on their books.
It comes with the caveat that Houston have no compulsion, nor requirement to get Harden off their books, and they would be looking for an absolute haul in return, if they were to move on from their franchise player. It has been reported by ESPN that the two organisations have been in contact, but are yet to have ‘engaged in meaningful dialogue’.
