Luka Doncic Dominates as NBA 2026 All-Star Starters Revealed

Doncic (48)

The NBA officially unveiled its All-Star starters on Monday, and once again, Luka Doncic proved just how powerful his popularity has become.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar finished as the overall fan vote leader, winning by nearly 200,000 votes and headlining the 2026 All-Star Game starting lineup.

Under the league’s voting format, fan voting accounted for 50 percent of the final results, while NBA players and a media panel each made up 25 percent. Starters were selected without regard for position, allowing the top vote-getters to rise purely on support and recognition.

Luka entered Monday’s reveal with momentum after leading each of the previous rounds of fan voting, and he held onto that advantage with 3,402,967 total votes.

Luka was the only Western Conference player to surpass three million votes, finishing ahead of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who received 3,218,398 votes.

Despite dominating the fan portion, Doncic finished 6th in the player survey and 2nd in the media panel voting with 95 votes apiece.

Even so, the fan backing was more than enough to secure his place among the starters and make him the centerpiece of the announcement.

One notable development was the end of LeBron James’ historic All-Star starter streak.

After 21 consecutive seasons as a starter, the Lakers legend was edged out in the final tally, marking the first time since his rookie year that he will not begin the game in the opening lineup.

The Western Conference starting five features Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Doncic, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, and Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets. On the Eastern Conference side, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, and Giannis Antetokounmpo earned starting roles.
