NBA fans were double-checking tonight’s box score in disbelief, with Anthony Davis submitting a statline for the ages.
Submitting one of the greatest statistical games of his career, Davis put up a mindblowing 27 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals and 3 blocks as the Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-109 at home.
Davis is the only player in NBA history to reach those numbers. He is also the first Laker since Shaquille O’Neal to record 25+ points and 25+ rebounds in a game.
Here are some of the best reactions to his performance:

While Davis was the clear standout for LA, LeBron James was also impressive with 29 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, while Austin Reaves added 19 points.
The Lakers have now knocked off another top team, following recent wins against the Clippers, Thunder and Bucks.
LA now moves to 36-30 and six games above .500 for the first time this season. They sit in ninth place in the Western Conference, one game back from the eight-seeded Dallas Mavericks.
The Lakers’ next game is on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings.Β It will be a notable game for Anthony Davis, who is 0-9 against Sabonis in his career.Β Davis has faced increasing scrutiny for being unable to beat either Sabonis or Nikola Jokic.
At least he won’t have to wait long for another chance to do so.
