Jokic had 46 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, and four blocks on 16-22 shooting from the field, 3-5 shooting from three, and 11-12 shooting from the line; stats so impressive that they established a new threshold since blocks and steals began being tracked, per the NBA.

Brandon Ingram played well for the Pelicans with 38 points, five rebounds, and nine assists on 12-24 shooting from the field.

Jokic has certainly made a case for himself to become the first player to repeat as NBA MVP since LeBron James did it in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

This season, Jokic is averaging 25.8 points, 13.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.4 steals on 57%/36%/81% shooting splits.

Jokic also leads all players in player efficiency rating and FiveThirtyEight’s RAPTOR wins above replacement, total RAPTOR, and offensive RAPTOR.

The Nuggets (38-26) are sixth in the Western Conference having played largely without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.
