The LeBron James free agency saga continues, with Shams Charania providing the latest intel on where the former Lakers star might go next.
The NBA world is waiting with bated breath to see where LeBron will spend the final years of his basketball career.
But Shams says don’t hold your breath too long.
“I spoke to Rich Paul, [James’] longtime agent, this morning. And Rich Paul made it clear to me that the choice is LeBron James’ right now… There is no decision, no choice yet. There’s no timetable as of yet,” Charania said on ESPN.
The teams in the running include the Warriors, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, 76ers and Miami, Shams noted, while confirming that Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia are the “focus” for LeBron and his team right now.
Many are frustrated with the way that LeBron is dragging things out.
Adam Silver even made a public plea to James to hurry things along so that the league can finalize the schedule.

Josh Peter of USA TODAY thinks MJ would never.
“James relishes being in the conversation as the NBA’s GOAT and he deserves it. But can you imagine Michael Jordan drawing out a decision like this? Or any of the NBA’s all-time greats?,” Peter said.
“This has dragged out longer than Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.” But this saga is missing a heroic figure, Odysseus.
“On the court, James is a hero, winner of four NBA titles, four MVPs, the league’s all-time leading scorer. But there’s nothing heroic about this process.”
Ultimately, LeBron holds all the cards right now and he knows it.
It’s a good position to be in from where h’s sitting, and he appears to be lapping it up.
The Decision may just drag out a while longer.
