Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne are facing a lawsuit from their former personal assistant, who claims she endured years of harassment, mistreatment, and a sexual assault that the NBA Hall of Famer allegedly chose to ignore.
Olga Kirpicheva, a 34-year-old who joined the Bosh family in 2017, says she worked grueling hours managing the couple’s homes, children, travel, and events.
She describes her employment as “outrageous and abusive,” saying Adrienne Bosh routinely used “yelling,” “screaming,” and “offensive language”, in court filings obtained by The Independent,
Things escalated in 2021, when a relative on the Boshes’ payroll allegedly began making unwanted advances. He told her he was “horny” and “needed to get laid,” while “pressing his groin against her body, and holding her in this position for 20 to 30 seconds,” according to the complaint. Kirpicheva says Adrienne Bosh “laughed” when she reported what was happening.
The most serious allegation came in August 2022 at Bosh’s basketball camp in Indiana.
Kirpicheva claims one of the coaches “pressed his way in and gained unauthorized access to the room,” forcing himself on her before she fought him off. She alleges she tried multiple times to inform Bosh, but he brushed her off.
“For example, [Kirpicheva] asked Mr. Bosh whether they could speak while they traveled back to their Indiana hotel, Mr. Bosh refused,” the complaint reads. “When they were leaving the hotel, [Kirpicheva] asked if they could talk. Mr. Bosh refused. [Kirpicheva] suggested that they would talk the following Monday. Mr. Bosh stated: ‘There’s not going to be a Monday for me.’”
Her attorney, Matthew Haulk, told The Independent, “It is clear is that, like so many other young women working for powerful people, Olga Kirpicheva was placed in an impossible situation. She was expected to work tirelessly without complaint, accept intolerable working conditions in silence, and allow her bosses to control her life. This lawsuit reflects Ms. Kirpicheva’s decision to stand up for herself and take her life back.”
The Boshes have denied all allegations, claiming Kirpicheva consented to certain acts, engaged in “employment-related misconduct,” and abandoned her belongings at their Texas property.
Kirpicheva is seeking damages, attorneys’ fees, and court costs.
