NBA Sets Grizzlies and Magic Games in London & Berlin

The NBA is set to take another step into Europe, announcing six regular-season games overseas across the next three years. The run begins in January, when the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will face off in both Berlin and London.

“Beginning in January, the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will make a two-game road trip to Berlin, (Jan. 15) and London (Jan. 18) to play each other,” the league said in its announcement.

For Germany, this will mark history.

“The Berlin games will be the first in Germany during the regular-season as the country has previously hosted 14 preseason contests,” according to Yahoo Sports.

It also gives Magic stars Franz and Moritz Wagner a chance to return home in front of their local fans.

London has become a familiar stop for the league, having hosted nine preseason and 10 regular-season games, while Manchester has seen only one, a single preseason matchup in 2013.

Paris has been more active in recent years, hosting five regular-season games, with the most recent being the two-game set between the San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers this past January.

The 2025-26 slate in Berlin and London will be followed by additional European stops in the coming years. “Future games will be played in Manchester, England, and Paris during the 2026-27 regular-season, and then in Berlin and Paris in the 2027-28 season,” the league confirmed.

The trip also adds to both franchises’ history overseas. When Memphis and Orlando arrive it will be the fourth and fifth time the Magic will have played in Europe and fifth and sixth time for the Grizzlies.
