Lakers star Luka Doncic isn’t waiting around for a bounce-back season, he’s already transformed his body.
After a frustrating, injury-riddled 2024-25 campaign that saw him appear in just 50 games due to a nagging calf issue, Doncic has committed himself to a new level of training, and it’s paying off.
“Just visually, I would say my whole body looks better,” Doncic said in an interview with Men’s Health Magazine, where new photos revealed a noticeably leaner and more toned version of the five-time All-Star.

Luka spent the past two months training in Croatia under a strict regimen that included no basketball for an entire month.
Physiotherapist Javier Barrio told Men’s Health that Doncic only resumed shooting in June, but the focus before that was purely physical.
“I think that this summer, he sees the difference,” Barrio said, “and he’s really happy.”
Luka has seemingly heard all the chatter about his conditioning and had a point to prove.
“Every summer I try my best to work on different things,” Doncic said. “Obviously, I’m very competitive. This summer was just a little bit different, you know. It kind of motivated me to be even better.”
Doncic reportedly called his manager the day after the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs and told her he wanted to begin training immediately.
“This year, with my team, I think we did a huge step,” Doncic said. “But this is just the start, you know. I need to keep going. Can’t stop.”
