NBA Fans React to Another Crazy Aaron Gordon Game-Winner

Aaron Gordon did the unthinkable and hit yet ANOTHER game-winning shot in the 2025 playoffs, this time against the Thunder in Game 1.

Denver trailed by as many as 14 points in Game 1 of, then clawed their way back to within one point after Aaron Gordon shot two free throws with 11 seconds left to play in the fourth.

The Nuggets then fouled Chet Holmgren on an inbounds pass, but he missed both free throws, which allowed the Nuggets to go the length of the floor and for Gordon to drained a go-ahead three-pointer with 2.8 seconds left to help his team to a dramatic 121-119 win.

 

Russell Westbrook against his old team and in Oklahoma City as an opposing player for the first time in a playoff game, assisted the Gordon bucket.

“The open man is the right play, the right play is the open man,” Gordon said after the game on the court. “Russ makes the right play a lot times. I saw the paint was clogged, so I thought that was going to be the best look we were gonna get.”

Gordon finished the night with 22 points on 7-15 shooting and 14 rebounds in 39 minutes in the victory, which dealt the No. 1-seeded Oklahoma their first loss of the 2025 postseason. Plus, earned Denver home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series.

“It’s the playoffs, you only get a certain amount of chances,” Nuggets interim coach David Adelman said after the game. “… This is our opportunity tonight, live in the present … we never let go of the rope.”

Nikola Jokić absolutely carried the Nuggets, scoring 42 points on 15-29 shooting to go with 22 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and a steal.

He becomes just the fifth player ever to score 40 points, grab 20 rebounds and dish five assists in a playoff game, joining only four other NBA players in Wilt Chamberlain, George McGinnis, Shaquille O’Neal and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
