NBA Fans React to Epic Showdown Between Anthony Edwards & Ja Morant

Two of the league’s future superstars in Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards went head-to-head on Thursday and they certainly didn’t disappoint.

The Wolves came away with the 141-125 win, but not before a fourth quarter fight back from the Grizzlies.

Ant finished the night with 44 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block and seven three-pointers made, while Ja had 36 points, six assists, one steal and five three-pointers made.

After the game, Edwards revealed the GOAT Michael Jordan was his inspiration behind the high scoring game.

“C Hines, my trainer, told me to blackout tonight, so I tried to do that. We be watching, I know people gonna love this, he sent me MJ videos everyday about blacking out. I think MJ said something like ‘why would I worry about a miss if I haven’t took the shot yet?’”

Although he was cooking in the first three quarters, Edwards continued his somewhat worrying trend in the final quarter of not scoring a single point.

NBA fans appreciated two of the games best dunkers playing each other no holds barred.

Another headline coming out of the games was Ja’s new three-point celebration. He debuted it earlier in the week, and some thought it quite controversial given he was just fined by the league for making gun gestures in two games last week.

However, Morant explained that maybe the celly doesn’t mean what everyone thinks.

“Listen, it’s not what you think it is,” Ja said, via Grind City Media. “I’m taking my words, and I’m throwing them out there. I’m speaking Ja. I’m being Ja. I’m going to take my words, I’m going to throw them out there, and then I’m going to block out the noise. And that’s what I’m doing. So when you see me do that, that’s what I’m doing. I’m saying what I got to say to the world, and I’m blocking out the noise in the midst of what’s coming back my way. And that’s how it’s going to be.”
