2025 NBA All-Star: East & West Official Starters, Reactions, Snubs

All-Star

The 2025 NBA All-Star teams have officially been announced and the internet has some reactions to the included and non-included players.

The official Western Conference starters for the 2025 All-Star game are:

๐Ÿ”ธ Nikola Jokiฤ‡
๐Ÿ”ธ Kevin Durant
๐Ÿ”ธ LeBron James
๐Ÿ”ธ Stephen Curry
๐Ÿ”ธ Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

The only snub in this team would have been Victor Wembanyama missing out on a starter spot.

Some NBA fans definitely agree.

The official Eastern Conference starters for the 2025 All-Star game are:

๐Ÿ”ธ Jalen Brunson
๐Ÿ”ธ Donovan Mitchell
๐Ÿ”ธ Jayson Tatum
๐Ÿ”ธ Giannis Antetokounmpo
๐Ÿ”ธ Karl Anthony Towns

The biggest snub from the East team was LaMelo Ball. The Hornets star led the fan votes in the third return and is averaging 29 PTS per game this season.

He also would have breathed some young and energetic life into the All-Star game. He must be in the reserves, even considering how many more viewers he and how much more engagement he would bring.

Some NBA fans on X are not happy about his snub.

For first time in All-Star history, the format will be a mini-tournament, with four teams โ€“ three will be comprised of the 24 All-Star selections and the fourth will be the winner of the Rising Stars competition โ€“ and three games.

The two winners of the semifinal matchups will meet in the championship, and in each game, the first team to score 40 points will win.

For the starters, fan voting has accounted for 50 percent of the tally, then current NBA players made up 25 percent and a media panel another 25 percent.
