NBA Personality Says Warriors Have Found Identity This Season

After all the naysayers’ negativity, the Warriors have been one of the surprise packets to start the season.

One NBA media personality says it’s because the team has found its identity.

“The Jordan Poole-Draymond Green situation was a distraction for the Warriors,” Perkins said Wednesday on NBA Today. “Last year, the whole up-and-down roller coaster with Klay Thompson, that was a distraction. For the first time in a long time, Steve Kerr has walked into the NBA season without any distractions. And a team full of vets and guys who look like they’ve lost themselves in the team.

“That’s what you want. Again, if you want to go 13-deep and it’s working for him, I’m not going to question him…. It’s ok to have competition within the locker room. As long as it’s good competition and it’s healthy. Look, I love the way the Warriors are playing right now. Their energy is contagious, in a great way.”

Of course, its unfortunate that the team’s heart and soul, Steph Curry, went down an ankle injury in the first week of the season.

But instead of falling to pieces as usual, the Warriors have been holding it together.

Buddy Hield has been a huge addition for the team. He’s averaging 21.3 points, 55.6 percent from three-point range, 100 percent from the free throw line and leading the NBA in threes.

He led the Warriors to back-to-back wins against the Pels without Steph. All this while only playing 23 minutes a night off the bench is super impressive.

Lindy Waters III and Kyle Anderson have also been difference-makers for the team and are knocking down three-pointers at will.
