LeBron & Bronny React to Special Night in Cleveland

Bronny

LeBron and Bronny had their first game together in Cleveland, back where it all started and it was made even more special since Bronny got his first NBA points ever.

The crowd was cheering Bronny’s name as he took the court. He scored the first points of his NBA career on a 14-foot jumper and the fans went nuts.

“It was a dream come true for me,” the rookie said. “It felt really good after the fact. I was still in game mode when I hit the shot, so I didn’t really acknowledge it while I was playing.”

He added, “I just been taught to play the right way my whole life”

LeBron was certainly happy to be back in Cleveland and even wore his 2016 championship ring while answering questions at the postgame press conference.

“To see him get his first NBA basket in this arena where he grew up not too far away from here, it’s an unbelievable moment,” LeBron said. “Unbelievable moment for him and our family.”

He also spoke about Bronny being able to realize his dream, “It’s the greatest thing in the world.”

Of course, the James family isn’t immune to the negative backlash by some people about the whole Bronny being drafted by the Lakers situation, but his family won’t stoop to that level.

“It don’t cost you a dime to be nice to people. … That’s what we’re all about. We don’t believe in the hate thing.”

Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson is a big fan of the narrative.

“It’s a beautiful story,” Atkinson said. “[With] two kids of my own, I can’t even imagine, right? I enjoy playing in the backyard with my son — to do it on an NBA court? Beautiful story. I love it. I think we should celebrate it.”
