Steve Kerr Reveals His Angriest Moment at Draymond Green

Kerr

Steve Kerr has been upset with Draymond Green plenty of times as his coach, but Kerr has revealed the moment that made him the most angry.

Kerr was asked when he was the angriest Green after ten seasons of coaching the hot-headed forward on the latest episode of the The Dan Le Batard Show.

“Well there’s a lot of examples,” Kerr said with a laugh.

“I think for sure the Jordan Poole incident. Draymond and I are a lot alike in many ways, people probably wouldn’t see that from the outside but we’re both kind of maniacal competitors and we’ve lost our minds with each other, during games, over whatever disagreements about strategy. But he crossed the line about Jordan and he knows it, he knew it immediately. And it made that season incredibly difficult for everybody. That story has been regurgitated many times but that’s probably the time I was most angry.”

Since then, Green’s violent streak has continued.

Draymond served a 12-game ban for striking Suns center Jusuf Nurkic last season.

He was then suspended indefinitely by the league for his vicious chokehold on Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert.

Being without Green for so many games in 2023-24 definitely hurt the Warriors.

The team will now have somewhat of a new look in the 2024-25 season, after adding veterans Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson and De’Anthony Melton.

No doubt Kerr will be wanting Green on the floor participating in as many as possible, as long as he keeps his temper in check.
