Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony, is starting to get more and more attention as his game continues to improve.

A 17-year-old 6’5″ guard playing for Long Island Lutheran High School, Kiyan is now ranked as the No. 1 New York high school prospect on ESPN’s top 100 list for the class of 2025.

And now, in an appearance alongside his dad on 7PM in Brooklyn, Kiyan has opened up about the other prominent son of an NBA star who’s in the news a lot lately: Bronny James.

When asked about Bronny, Kiyan said he was happy to see him make the NBA.

“Just to know that he started it, and now that I got a chance to like follow, not follow him, but get to where he’s at in the league,” he said. “That’s fire. I texted him everything. We was on the phone. That’s really fire. Especially him playing with his pops that’s crazy. That’s so crazy to me.

Kiyan added that he was excited about the potential opportunity of playing against Bronny in the NBA.

“We could play against each other like we played against each other in high school,” he said.

Anthony will enter his senior year in high school next season. He has already received offers from a range of colleges, including Syracuse, his father’s alma mater.

Other schools to make offers include Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, Tennessee and Memphis.

Kiyan plans on narrowing down his list of schools to five by the end of the month, before making his final decision later in the year.

Anthony recently put on a show at the Nike EYBL Peach Invitational Tournament, and in one game dropping 40 points on 5-of-6 three-point shooting.
