Bronny James Reacts to His Best Lakers Performance Yet

Bronny James has had a rough summer, but he had his best outing yet for the Lakers on Wednesday and led the franchise to an 87-86 comeback win over the Hawks.

Bronny finished the night with 12 points, a rebound, a steal and went 5-11 from the field.

The number 55 overall pick also finally made a three-pointer after going 0-16 in previous games, and the relief on his face after the game was clear to see.

Bronny said it felt “really good” to hit a shot from three.

“You hit your first shot, you automatically feel good, so like the first three that I made that just opened up the game for me completely,” Bronny told reporters after the game.

The 19-year-old was asked how he assessed the way he played.

“Just trying to forget about all the shots I missed, forget about all the games we lost, just come out and play my game and try to do my best every time I come on the court,” Bronny said.

He made sure to mention how important his cheer squad has been in the early days of his career.

“Just having the the support system behind you, my Mom, my Dad,” Bronny said. “They really help me and encourage me to stay focused and you know, keep being myself so I feel like that’s a big part of it.”

The guard added that all the media attention he’s been getting has been a lot, but knows it’s what he’ll have to deal with if he wants to play in the NBA.

Bronny said he was sure that LeBron would be watching his game from afar and the advice his Dad has given him so far has been to “stay aggressive” even though his shots haven’t been falling.
