Attending the NBA Finals is more expensive than ever, with the average ticket price this year rising to a record $4,150, according to TicketIQ.
That makes this the most expensive Finals since TicketIQ started tracking prices in 2011.
At the time of publication, the most expensive Game 1 tickets on Ticketmaster were listed on the company’s resale marketplace for $27,000 each. Those seats were in the VIP section close to the court.
The situation is even more dire over at Stubhub, with the most expensive Game 1 tickets selling for $50,283.
Stubhub also has tickets listed for Game 7 (which is of course no guarantee to actually happen), the most expensive of which are selling for $59,564 each.
The cheapest available Game 1 tickets were selling for $750 each. In comparison, tickets for last year’s Finals started at $449 each.
Long story short: if you’re hoping to attend any of these games, it might be time to start selling all your stuff.
