Klay Thompson Blasts Rockets Player For Trolling From Bench

Klay Thompson has blasted Rockets forward Tari Eason for wearing a “Warriors come out to play” t-shirt during Golden State’s 133-110 win over Houston on Thursday. Thompson took issue with Eason “trolling” despite not being in uniform for the game.

“That’s pretty lame, especially if you’re not even playing,” he said. “Like it’s one thing if you’re playing and you’re out there competing and you can back it up.

“But if you’re just going to be trolling from the sideline, like bro, what are we doing? At times we talk mess [but] at least we’re out there competing. That’s all I have to say about that.”

Eason had previously yelled “Warriors, come out to play!” on an Instagram Live video. Houston had been surging towards stealing Golden State’s 10th seed (the final postseason spot) thanks to a winning streak that lasted 11 games.

But their streak has since been followed by three consecutive losses, including tonight’s defeat against Golden State. That puts the Rockets four games out of the 10-seed.

Houston has not yet been officially eliminated from postseason contention, but with just six games remaining in the regular season, their chances of making it aren’t looking great.

The team’s suddenly bleak outlook doesn’t seem to be sitting well with Houston coach Ime Udoka, who didn’t mince words postgame.

“It looked like the moment was too big for a lot of players out there,” he said. Looked like deer in headlights a little bit. Either looked soft or scared, one or the other.”

The Rockets will now have to win the majority of their remaining games while hoping the Warriors lose the majority of theirs.
