Steph Curry’s Take on His Future With Draymond Green & Klay Thompson

Curry Klay Draymond Future

The championship core breakup rumors about Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are constant, but Curry has faith that the band will stay together until they retire.

Curry expressed his desire to remain in The Bay for his entire career and he believes that his fellow four-time NBA champions – Green and Thompson will remain there too.

“That’s always been a motivator for us,” Curry said in an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews. “I think the way that we talk about it is, we want to not only end our career as a Warrior, we want to continue to compete at a very high very level. But you want to end it the right way.”

The league’s greatest-ever three-point shooter acknowledged that it’s been a difficult season for the Dubs, but has hopes the franchise can turn their season around.

“We’ve been through a lot this year, the three of us,” Curry said. “Especially with Draymond’s absence for a while, with Klay taking on a new role, the new cast of characters that we have that are right alongside in this journey. I think it’s extremely possible to accomplish both. We just have to protect the identity of who we are the best we can and I think we’re moving in that right direction.”

Golden State have a 27-26 record on the season and sit in 10th in the Western Conference.

But the team has won six of their last seven games.

In their most recent game before the All-Star break, Thompson came off the bench for the first time since his rookie season in 2012.

All hope is not lost at Golden State.
