The NBA Dunk Contest was a flop once again, with the only shining light being Mac McClung and the NBA world is reacting.
It was hard to top Mac’s epic dunks from last year. He almost set the bar a bit too high.
The final came down to McClung and Jaylen Brown and Mac went BACK TO BACK.
Mac’s first dunk in the final he jumped two people for the windmill dunk.
His second dunk was a reverse over Shaq – who was wearing a McClung jersey, which he got straight 50’s for.
While Brown used a glove on his left hand in an ode to Michael Jackson, it wasn’t enough to get the win.
Players, fans and NBA alike were pretty unimpressed with the judges’ ability to score correctly.
The best reactions are below:
I’m a professional hater but I’m not hating when I say I could win the dunk contest with these scores but not sure the knees would allow it lmao

Jaylen Brown dunking with his left hand in the Michael Jackson glove is hilarious. The judges giving him a 49.2 cause he dunked with his left hand is even more hilarious. pic.twitter.com/G7qlvOkeaa

Thankfully, we move onto the All-Star game on Sunday, featuring the best players in the league right now.
So let’s hope they can produce something better.
Luckily, the 3-point contest was entertaining and Steph and Sabrina Ionescu’s epic shootout saved the night.
The WNBA and the G-League literally carrying the All-Star weekend right now.
