Woj Provides Update on Alex Caruso Ahead of Trade Deadline

Woj has provided a major update on Alex Caruso’s availability as we approach the NBA trade deadline.

The noted newsbreaker made the comments on the latest episode of his podcast.

“If they’re going to trade Alex Caruso, they want a lot for him, like an OG Anunoby-type deal as what’s been described to me,” Adrian Wojnarowski said on The Woj Pod this week.

For context, to get Anunoby, the Knicks traded RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a 2024 second-round pick.

The Bulls’ high asking price won’t stop teams from reaching out about him, of course.

According to NBC Sports Chicago, the Golden State Warriors are one team that has enquired about Caruso’s availability.

Chicago is right to not give up Caruso lightly. The former Laker has been one of the league’s better perimeter defenders and is also shooting over 40 percent from the three-point line.

This season Caruso is averaging a career-high 9.9 points per game, to go along with 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks.

But it has always been on the defensive end where he has done his best work.

The NBA trade deadline is on February 8 at 3pm ET.
