The Celtics beat the Lakers 126-115 on Christmas Day despite a 40-point explosion from Anthony Davis and shooting struggles from Jayson Tatum.
Tatum finished with 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists on 6-15 shooting, while LeBron James had 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists on 5-14 shooting.
Ultimately, it was exceptional performances from Kristaps Porzingis (28 points, 11 rebounds, 11-19 FG) and Derrick White (18 points, 11 assists, 8-13 FG) that set Boston apart.
Here’s how the NBA world reacted:
Derrick White is an All-Star

The Celtics are so loaded. Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White were their best players today. Crazy to say that about a team that also has Tatum, Brown, and Holiday. But it’s not the first time this season that’s been true.

Way to go Celts — taking care of business in LA! That was an impressive 48+ hours.
