Former G League player Chance Comanche has reportedly admitted to luring a young woman to her death in Las Vegas under the pretence of meeting up for “kinky sex”.

The alarming new information was detailed in an arrest report obtained by FOX5 in Vegas, with the station reporting Comanche confessed to his role in the murder of 23-year-old Marayna Rodgers.

Comanche, 27, reportedly told investigators he conspired with 19-year-old Sakari Harnden, who he met on a dating app and had since broken up with, to come up with a twisted plan to murder Rodgers.

“I can snap her neck or just strangle the [expletive],” Comanche allegedly wrote in a group chat. He even shared a coffin emoji with his alleged accomplice in a text message obtained by police.

Comanche told police he met with Harnden after a road game in Vegas to carry out their plan. This was while he was playing for the Stockton Kings, the Sacramento Kings’ G League affiliate.

He claims Harnden said Rodgers was going to “smoke her” if she did not give her a Rolex watch, and that he and Harnded came up with a plan to lure Rodgers away from her friends so they could kill her.

Comanche said he scheduled a meeting with Rodgers “under the direction” of Harnden, posing as someone interested in paying Rodgers for sex.

He reportedly told Rodgers he was into “kinky sex” and wanted to tie both her and Harnden up in a car. According to the report, Rodgers agreed to go ahead with the encounter due to her belief that she would be paid $1,000, allowing Comanche to zip-tie her hands together.

Comanche said he then used an HDMI cord to strangle Rodgers while Harnden used her hands to choke the victim. The pair then reportedly disposed of Rodgers’ body in a ditch, concealing it beneath rocks.

Comanche later guided investigators to the exact location of Rodgers’ remains on a map. Harnden’s arrest followed in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Police stated that Harnden and Rodgers, initially friends in Washington state, had a falling out. This arose when Rodgers, working as a medical assistant, allegedly spread information implicating Harnden’s boyfriend in a double murder in California.

Rodgers, accompanied by her boyfriend Tremaine, had travelled from Washington to Las Vegas on December 1 with purported intentions of engaging in prostitution, according to the police report. Upon discovering this trip, Harnden allegedly conspired with Comanche to lure Rodgers away from Tremaine and her other companions in Las Vegas to kill her.

Meanwhile, the FBI apprehended Comanche at the Stockton Kings’ practice facility in Sacramento on Friday, the same day he was released by the team.

Presently held without bail at Sacramento County Main Jail, Comanche awaits extradition to face charges in Las Vegas. The Clark County District Attorney’s Office has formally accused both Comanche and Harnden of murder.

Authorities have confirmed Comanche’s slated appearance in Sacramento Superior Court at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
