The Newport Beach Police Department has opened an investigation into online claims that Josh Giddey had an inappropriate relationship with a minor, according to TMZ Sports.
It comes after anonymous X accounts accused Giddey of having an intimate relationship with a minor.
The posts included photos and videos of Giddey with an alleged underage girl, which quickly spread online.
The NBA is also conducting its own investigation into the matter, according to league spokesman Mike Bass.
So far, Giddey has declined to speak on the matter, as has Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault.
“I’m not gonna comment on anything as it relates to Josh off the court,” Daigneault said on Tuesday.
