Zach LaVine Responds to Storming off Court While Teammates Celebrate

Zach LaVine is the most recent big name to appear in trade rumors and tensions were high following Chicago’s game against Miami on Saturday.

The story of the night should have been the Bulls coming back to beat the Heat despite finding themselves down 20-1 during a catastrophic first quarter.

But all eyes quickly turned to LaVine when he stormed off the court while his teammates celebrated on the court.

LaVine also angrily yanked his arm away from the team’s PR director, who was trying to guide the star guard towards a post-game interview with the team’s local broadcaster.

LaVine briefly addressed the matter after the game.

“Just a miscommunication for us and our PR team,” he said. “We’re all fine.”

But according to The Chicago Sun Times’ Joe Cowley, things are far from fine.

“Sources indicated that the front office was made aware of the situation immediately and was less than thrilled with LaVine’s actions,” Cowley wrote. “When coach Billy Donovan found out about what happened he was downright ticked.”

The incident follows a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, detailing the Bulls’ increasing willingness to trade LaVine.

The Lakers, Heat and 76ers are all interested in acquiring LaVine, according to Charania.
