Dame Surprised to Discover Giannis Practices On Non-Regulation Hoop

Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard made an unexpected discovery at the Milwaukee Bucks facility on media day. While shooting around, he noticed one of the rims was noticeably angled upwards.

“This rim kinda pointed up, huh?” he says while taking shots.

“That’s Giannis’ rim,” responds a nearby Khris Middleton.

When Dame replies with something that isn’t picked up by the camera’s microphone, Middleton replies with, “I don’t know, that’s just his rim”.

“This rim definitely is like pointed up,” Lillard continues. “They probably did that ’cause they know he’ll dunk on it.”

There hasn’t been any confirmation as to why the Bucks have done this, or why Giannis likes to use this rim.

The video has fuelled speculation that this could be missing with the former MVP’s shot. His free-throw shooting is famously unreliable, with just a 64.5 percent strike rate from the line last season.

However, it’s possible that this is a technique to encourage the former MVP to increase the arc on his shot.

No one seems to know for sure, even Middleton.
