Snoog Dogg Says Shaq, Not Dame, Is The GOAT NBA Rapper

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg claims Shaquille O’Neal is the greatest ever rapper to have played in the NBA. Snoop made the statement on Instagram after hearing about Shaq’s latest rap collaboration.

According to TMZ, Shaq told them he wanted to bring “90s energy” to the track.

Shaq’s footprint in the hip-hop world is unquestionably solidified. His debut album “Shaq Diesel” achieved platinum status in 1993, earning him the respect of big-time rappers of that era.

It’s worth noting that Snoop Dogg is a lifelong Lakers fan, so he might be a little biased here considering O’Neal brought the team three titles alongside Kobe Bryant in the early 2000s.

It should also be pointed out that the landscape of NBA-affiliated rappers has evolved significantly since Shaq’s prime, and Damian Lillard has been holding it down for a long time now.

Lillard’s recent album received endorsements from heavyweights like Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, and he even delivered a memorable musical performance during the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

Much like the GOAT debate when it comes to actual basketball, there’s no way to actually prove who is No. 1 and the debate is likely to rage on forever.
