Anthony Edwards Reveals Why KD is His Favorite All-Time NBA Player

It always helps to have someone to look up to that in some ways, reminds you of yourself and that’s how Anthony Edwards feels about Kevin Durant.

Edwards has been a star in Team USA’s warm up games ahead of the FIBA World Cup and he was recently asked his top five players of all-time.

The Timberwolves star named Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Allen Iverson and of course, Durant.

Many are questioning his logic to leave out LeBron, especially since in his all-time starting five last year he named himself, James and not MJ, but we digress.

The 22-year-old revealed that KD is in fact his favorite all-time player because Edwards feels that him and Durant are alike and share the same attitude towards basketball.

“[Durant] just loves the game,” Edwards told HEIR. “He just doesn’t care. He treats the game like the ball can do two things, you gonna make the shot or you gonna miss the shot.”

When Edwards was asked if he is excited to matchup against his GOAT KD, he says that Durant will need to look out for him now.

To be fair, Edwards has been on fire for Team USA and in their most recent showing against Germany, scored 34 points, six rebounds and made four three-pointers.

But KD is still a future Hall-of-Famer who will be looking to add to his championship accolades this season with a new-look Phoenix side.

The young star is certainly a fan of making bold claims and another came back in February when he told SiriusXM NBA Radio, “I think I’m just as good as [KD and Kyrie].”

Edwards has three NBA seasons under his belt, so he has a long way to go if he’s to catch up to Durant and Irving but it looks as though he is on the right track.
