Jalen Green Recalls Hilarious Michael Jordan Story From When He Was a Kid

Jordan

Rockets star Jalen Green was lucky enough to have a Michael Jordan encounter when he was a kid and the outcome was too funny.

The now 21-year-old recalled when he went to an MJ basketball camp as a kid and his first interaction with the GOAT of the NBA was one for the books.

“I’m walking to practice from the dorm, I got high socks on up to my knees, baggy shorts — my swag was terrible,” Green said on Paul George’s Podcast. “I got Adidas slides on and he just walked over to me and was like, ‘You need to take them weak ass Adidas slides off.’

“… I’m a little ass kid, though. He talking about get rid of them weak ass slides. I’m minding my business, I’m happy walking by myself. … I was hella excited.”

The photo of the moment makes this story even more funny and it will be memory that Green won’t soon forget.

Green and George also addressed the possibility of James Harden returning to Houston on the same podcast episode.

“I feel like, at this point, you are the king of Houston,” George said. “You have to go through being double and triple teamed, being the target every time. If you bring on someone like James, who is a ball-dominant player, that’s going to hinder your growth a little bit.”

To which Green responded, “I think it can play out both ways. It can help and hurt at the same time. I haven’t talked to him about the rumors. But I am with you on that.”
