LeBron Reacts to Lakers Being on the Brink of Elimination

The Lakers are down 3-0 after a 119-108 defeat at the hands of the Nuggets in Game 3 on Saturday and LeBron is already onto the next.

LeBron spoke to the media after the game and was speaking quite quickly, clearly eager to move on to Game 4, which could spell the end of the Lakers’ postseason.

“I mean it’s, we just gotta get one,” LeBron said. “One game at a time, you know, just focus on Game 4 and that’s all you can think about. Obviously, this game is over and done with. We had some opportunities that didn’t come through, so just get ready for Monday and we just gotta get one. One game series for us. Every game counts obviously.

“Back-to-back turnovers, after we went up and made two free throws, we went and made one and we had back-to-back turnovers and they hit back-to-back three’s. Made us take a timeout and we never got back in rhythm.”

Nuggets point guard Jamal had an outstanding game which paved the way for the win, recording 37 points, seven rebounds and six assists on 51.7 percent shooting from the field.

“We just gotta be more locked-in, ready to scramble with Jamal Murray…,” Lakers guard Austin Reaves said after the game. “We can either come out Monday and go home or we can fight for another day.”

LA coach Darvin Ham is remaining positive after the loss and hopes his side can get one back at home.

“The deficit is 3-0. Not 4-0,” Ham said. “As long as they haven’t gotten to four yet, there’s still hope. We’re still alive.”
