LeBron James Injury Update After Game 2

The Lakers were defeated by the Nuggets in Game 2 and in concerning news, LeBron injured his ankle.

Denver are 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals after an 132-126 victory to take their home court playoffs record to 8-0.

In the fourth quarter, LeBron suffered a left ankle injury when he stepped on Anthony Davis’ foot.

The pair accidentally got in each other’s way a little as they looked to get the rebound.

LeBron stayed on the floor after it happened, while the Lakers moved up the court for a fast break, as they only trailed by two points at the time of injury.

Eventually LeBron got up but he was hobbling the rest of the game and seemed determined to play until the final whistle.

After Game 2, LA coach Darvin Ham says LeBron James was being evaluated but that “it will be hard to keep him out” of Game 3.

“I’ll be ready on Saturday. I just stepped on the foot of AG. Nothing is keeping me from playing, LeBron James tells NBAon TNT.

“They’re still there,” LeBron told ESPN, pulling a towel off his ankles. “A little ankle isn’t going to stop me”

King James finished the night with 22 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds, four steals and two blocks in 40 minutes.

The Lakers will head back to LA for Game 3, where they have a 6-0 playoffs record.

Game 3 of the Lakers-Nuggets series will take place on Saturday, May 20 at 5:30PM PDT at Crypto.com arena.
