Darvin Ham Provides LeBron James Injury Update

LeBron Walking

LeBron James has given Lakers fans something to smile about today after entering Crypto.com Arena without a walking boot for LA’s game against New York.

After about a week away from the team, LeBron was seen walking into the arena sans limp and his coach Darvin Ham says the time away was “was good for him to unplug a little bit.”

James suffered a right foot tendon injury in late February and Ham says “everything is going according to plan” with the injury progress.

Many thought the Lakers would struggle to win games without James and have to fight for a play-in spot but the team has won four of the six games LeBron has missed.

At the time of the injury, the team announced he would be re-evaluated three weeks later, meaning the earliest he could return to the court would be late March but seeing him out of a boot is definitely a step in the right direction.

LA is currently the 9th seed in the West with a 33-34 record, and in more positive news for the team, they welcomed back point guard D’Angelo Russell on Friday.

Russell notched 28 points, five rebounds and nine assists in his return game with the Lakers beating the Raptors 122-112.
