‘I Heard a Pop’: Lakers Holding Their Breath Over LeBron James Injury Scare

LeBron James

LeBron James struck fear into the heart of Lakers fans everywhere when he went down during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks and appeared to say “I heard a pop”.

James continued playing but didn’t look right after the injury.

He still managed to make moves and have an impact, but could be seen moving gingerly and at one point staggered backwards after scoring.

When asked about his foot after the game, James said “it’s been better”.

He was also seen limping after the game.

LeBron is being evaluated by the team’s medical staff tonight and will be re-evaluated in the morning.

Injuries have become a more consistent theme in James’ career in recent years, which is to be expected for any player as they age. After an incredible 15-year iron man run, he has missed far more games since making the move to LA in 2018.

In his seasons since leaving Cleveland, James has played 55, 67, 45 and 56 games respectively. This season, he has played 47 games and missed 14.
