All-Star weekend has wrapped up but Salt Lake City didn’t escape scrutiny from Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.
During Sunday’s All-Star Game, Shaq and Chuck hilariously roasted Salt Lake City’s lack of nightlife due to it’s heavy Mormon population.
“These people are going to heaven,” Barkley said. “Ain’t nothing to do in this boring ass city.”
All the announcers were laughing as Shaq added, “I never ate so much room service in my life.”
But someone who definitely wasn’t laughing was Utah senator Nate Blouin, who has Salt Lake City in his district and heard it was being slandered.
Blouin didn’t hold back in his response on Twitter.
Super disappointing take. Do better @SHAQ and Charles! Bet y'all were just cooped up in the all star VIP areas and didn't even get into the city, and are just perpetuating a reputation we're working hard to change. https://t.co/Hq4segw8hS

Shaq and Barkley haven’t responded, at least not yet. But considering how often they get called out, expect it to be water off a duck’s back.
