A 60-year-old man died after a fight broke out at a middle school basketball game in Vermont on Tuesday night.
The altercation occurred at the Alburgh Community Education Center during a game between seventh and eighth-grade boys from Alburgh and St. Albans middle schools.
Footage shows adults physically fighting while the students watched from the sidelines.

The cause of the fight is unclear, but Vermont State Police are investigating. When officers arrived, the fight had ended and several individuals involved had left the scene.
60-year-old Russell Giroux was injured in the brawl, but drove home before calling for medical help. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
The schools involved have released statements, expressing shock and sadness about the incident and offering condolences to the deceased’s family and friends. They are also working to support their students and families in dealing with the aftermath.
No arrests have been made at this time.
