76ers Looking to Move First-Round Pick Before Draft, Per Report

The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to move their first-round pick (#23 overall) before the 2022 NBA Draft on June 23, per a report from Michael Kaskey-Blomain of CBS.

The 76ers haven’t had much luck drafting first-round players in recent years.

2021 first-round pick Jaden Springer played just six minutes in his rookie season.

The 76ers are in an ultimate “win now mode” with a veteran core including James Harden (32), Joel Embiid (28), and Tobias Harris (29).

Tyrese Maxey could elongate the 76ers’ window if he takes the next step.

But the 76ers looked uninspired last postseason losing 4-2 to the Miami Heat in the second-round.

Philadelphia will certainly look to add proven talent to their roster, especially in the form of a backup big and a backup guard.
