Draymond Green on Game 1 Loss: ‘We Dominated the First 41 Minutes’

Draymond Green on Game 1 Loss

Golden State Warriors’ forward/center raised some eyebrows with his postgame comments after his team’s 120-108 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

“We pretty much dominated the game for the first 41…42 minutes,” Green said after the game, via ESPN.

“We’ll be fine.”

Boston had a two point lead at halftime, but fell behind by 12 after a dismal third quarter.

The fourth quarter was a different story however as the Celtics outscored the Warriors 40-16.

Al Horford led all Celtics’ scorers with 26 points on 9-12 shooting from the field.

Green struggled with the Celtics’ defense all night, scoring just four points on 2-12 shooting.

The Warriors will look to rebound in Game 2 on Sunday (6/5).
