Golden State Warriors’ Otto Porter Jr. out for Game 4

The Golden State Warriors will try to make it a four-game sweep against the Dallas Mavericks without the help of  forward Otto Porter, Jr.

Steve Kerr made the announcement during an afternoon press conference.

Porter, Jr. is still suffering from right foot soreness.

“He’s still sore. Gotta make the wise decision here. This gives him a couple of days to prepare for a possible Game 5,” said Kerr per The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.

The 28-year-old Porter, Jr. left Game 3 during the second quarter after he appeared to sustain the injury when attempting a layup.

X-rays on his foot came back negative on Monday.

Porter is averaging 5.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 20.7 minutes per game for the Warriors in the playoffs.

After the Warriors win Sunday night, Kerr said Porter’s foot was definitely a concern.

The Dallas Mavericks try to hold off the Warriors sweep Tuesday at 9 pm ET at American Airlines Center.
